初中英语常见易混形容词和副词(组)辨析 本文节选自本人主编的《激情英语 专项训练 中考单项选择》(总主编:刘 健 新疆青少年出版社 2012年6月第1版 定价:21.80元 可以网购,本人不售书)一书。版权所有,侵权必究。 (1)interesting & interested interesting表示“有趣味的、令人感兴趣的”,是指事物本身具有兴趣;而interested意为“感兴趣的”,是指某人对某事感兴趣,常用于be (become) interested in中。如: I read an interesting story book for children. 我读了一本有趣味的儿童故事书。 I am very interested in music. 我对音乐感兴趣。 (2)excited, exciting exciting表示“使人兴奋的、使人激动的”,指物;而excited表示“兴奋的;激动的”,指人。如: Traveling is an exciting experience. 旅行是令人兴奋的体验。 The teacher was very excited to see your success. 看到你的成功老师非常激动。 (3)fast, quick & quickly fast既可以作形容词,也可以作副词,一般指人或物体的运动速度快,常用来指交通工具跑得快,钟走得快,人的动作快等。如: He always drives too fast. 他总是开得很快。 quick作形容词,指用较短的时间完成某事,常用来形容在智力方面反应灵敏。如: This is a quick train. 这是一列快车。 quickly作副词,侧重指事情发生或完成得快,延续的时间短,常被用来描述人的思维敏捷、反应快速或动作敏捷等。如: He walked quickly across the street. 他快速地过了街。 (4)instead & instead of instead是副词,意为“代替,反而”,单独用于句首或句尾。如: He is tired, let me go instead. 他累了,让我代替他去吧。 instead of意为“取代,而不是”,相当于介词,用在名词、代词或介词短语前。如: I’ll go to Beijing instead of Chongqing. 我要去北京而不是重庆。 (5)else & other else常置于疑问代词或不定代词之后,作后置定语。如: Can you tell me something else about her? 你还能告诉我一些她的情况吗? 而other只能用于名词之前作定语。如: Could I borrow some other books? 还可借其他书吗? (6)also, too, either& as well also常置于be动词、情态动词的后面,行为动词的前面。如: He can also speak French. 他也会讲法语。 too常用于肯定句中,放在句子末尾,并用逗号与前面内容隔开。如: I like swimming, too.我也喜欢游泳。 either常用于否定句中,放在句子末尾,并用逗号与前面内容隔开。如: She isn’t from Chongqing, either. 她也不是从重庆来的。 as well意为“也;又;同样”,常用于句末。如: He is a teacher, and a friend as well. (7)alone & lonely alone作形容词,意为“单独的、 独一无二的”,常作表语。如: He was alone in the house last night. 昨天晚上他独自一人在家里。 alone也可以作副词,意为“单独、独自”。如: I did it all alone. 这事是我一个人干的。 lonely作形容词,意为“孤单的、寂寞的”,可以用于修饰名词,也可以用作表语。如: The lonely old man doesn’t feel lonely. 这个孤独的老人并不感到寂寞。 (8)already & yet already常用于肯定句,有时 already也用于疑问句中,但往往含有问话人希望得到一个肯定回答或含有惊讶之意。如: I have already read the book. 我已经读过这本书。 yet用于否定句或疑问句中。如: She hasn’t seen the film yet. 她还未看过这电影。 (9)such & so such 作形容词,意为“这样的、这种 ”,用于修饰名词,若遇不定冠词 a (n) 时, 要放在该冠词之前;若遇 all, no, one, few, several, some, any 等时则放在其后。又如: I’ve never read such an interesting book. 我从来没有读过这么有趣的书。 而so作副词,也有“这样、如此”的意思,但它用于修饰形容词或其它副词。如: She has so many interesting story books. 她有很多的有趣的故事书。 (10)ago; before ago只能用于一般过去时,放在“时间段”之后,表示从现在算起的一段时间之前。如: Two years ago, something was wrong with her eyes. 两年前,她的眼睛出了毛病。 before后接“时间段”时,它所指的时间是从过去某一时刻算起的一段时间之前。如: He said he finished his work two days before. 他说他两天以前就完成了他的工作。 (11)sometime, sometimes sometime副词,意为“在某个时候”,表示在某个不确定的时间,可以同一般将来时或一般过去时连用。如: I’ll call you sometime next week. 下星期我会找个时间给你打电话的。 sometimes副词,意为“有时”,表示频度,常与一般现在时或一般过去时连用。如: Sometimes I go to the library. 有时我还会去图书馆。 (12)how many & how much how many用来对可数名词的数量提问。如: How many people are there in your family? 你家有几口人? how much用来对不可数名词的数量提问,另外,how much也用来询问物体的价钱。如: How much water do you need? 你需要多少水? How much is the pen? 这枝钢笔多少钱? (13)how often, how long & how soon how often意为“多久一次”,指发生事情的频率。用于对(如always, usually, often, sometimes, seldom, every day, once a week等)表示频率的词或词组提问。如: I go to the movie once a week. → How often do you go to the movie? how long意为“多久”,用于对表示持续性的一段时间提问。如: It took me about two hours to walk to the school. → How long did it take you to walk to the school? how soon意为“还要过多久”,用于对表示将来的一段时间提问。如: He will be back in three hours. →How soon will he be back. |
