初中英语常见易混介词（组）辨析本文节选自本人主编的《激情英语 专项训练 中考单项选择》(总主编：刘 健 新疆青少年出版社 2012年6月第1版 定价：21.80元 可以网购， 本人不售书)一书。版权所有，侵权必究。（1）among & betweenamong表示“在三者或三者以上之间”。如：The town lies among the mountains. 这个小镇处于群山环抱之中。 而between表示“在两者”之间。如：There is a railroad between the two cities. 两城市之间有一条铁路。注意：among还有“……之一”的意思。如：Chongqing is among the largest industrial cities in China. 重庆是中国最大工业城市之一。（2）in front of & in the front ofin front of表示“在……前面”，常指另外的物体或人位于该物的前面，指在外部。如：There is a garden in front of my house.在我家房前有个花园。in the front of通常是指某人或某物在某一个物体的内部的前一个部分。如：He is sitting in the front of the bus. 他坐在公共汽车的前面。（3）except & besidesexcept作介词，意为“除；把……除外”，表示所除去的不包括在内。如：Nobody were late except me. 除我以外，没人迟到。besides也是“除……之外”的意思，但它所表示的是所除去的部分应包括在内。如：Besides milk and cheese, we need vegetables. 除了牛奶和干酪外，我们还需要蔬菜。（4）since & forsince和for引导的时间状语都可以与现在完成时连用，for后面接表示一段时间的状语，since后面接表示时间点的词语或引导一个表示时间起点的状语从句。如：I have taught in this school for twenty years. 我在这所学校教书二十年了。Jim has lived here since 2008. 吉姆从2008年以来一直住在这儿。（5）through, across & overacross多指从物体的表面上或沿着某一条线的方向“跨越”。如：The students ran across the playground into the classroom. 学生们穿过操场跑进教室。 through表示从空间里“穿过”。如：They often drive through the village. 他们经常开车穿过这个村子。over表示从某一座高的障碍物（如树、墙、篱笆和山脉等）的一侧到另一侧。如：He jumped over the wall. 他跳过了墙。（待续）
